How is the wig made?

All wigs from our collection are custom machine-sewn to a professional, lightweight and breathable wig cap. Each wig comes with an adjustable elastic band for support, and wig combs at the back for extra security.

How long will my wig last?

We only use 100% raw virgin hair for our wigs, meaning your wig will last for up to 3 years or more depending on how you look after it.

How do I know if my wig will fit?

We make our wigs with high-quality stretchable caps that can fit heads with a circumference of 21" - 23". These are the average head sizes. You can find out your head size, by following the instructions below. Your head size can be selected at checkout to ensure your wig is catered to you.

How would I know what kind of lace will work for me (Closure or Frontal)?

The closure and frontal refer to the lace portion of the unit made of lace which replicates your hairline and the parting space to make your unit look like it's growing from your scalp.

A closure is a square section of lace. Your unit can be parted anywhere along the lace and it usually spans temple to temple. With a closure unit, it requires zero experience to apply it and achieve a seamless natural look.

A frontal is much bigger and spans from ear to ear. It gives you the freedom to do various styles and partings such as deep side parts, up-do, plaits etc. A frontal unit is very high maintenance and requires a particular application. It is recommended for more experienced wig wearers and person/s who will have their units applied by a professional.

A closure wig is for beginners and/or daily and more frequent usage, it allows you to apply your unit seamlessly without having to stick down with glue or sprays. A frontal wig is recommended for more experienced wig wearers and person/s who want more versatility with their units.

How long will it take for my wig to be made?

Perfection takes time! Once you have placed your wig order, it can take up to 21 working days for your wig to be processed and produced. If any units are coloured, it can take up to an extra 10 working days in the processing time. Once the wig is ready, the shipping information will be emailed to you.

Can I have my order rushed?

No, we do not offer rushed orders or shipping at this moment for any of our units.

Can I dye my wig/bundles?

Yes! Funmi Michelle Beauty offers 100% raw virgin hair that can be bleached up to #613 with ease. We suggest you take your bundles or wigs to a professional for proper dye/colouring.

Do you install units?

We do offer installing services, however, only for customers locally in where we are based - London, United Kingdom.

How can I take care of my wig?

Applying a Frontal Wig:

Brush all the strands of hair away from the face and forehead area.
Clean your hairline and forehead with wipes or rubbing alcohol.
Apply your desired adhesive (Got2b/Lace Glue/Lace Tape) and wait till tacky.
Place the lace on the adhesive area and use a tail comb and blow dryer so the lace stays in place.
Style your hair and baby hair as desired.

If you have a closure wig, all you will need to do is place your wig on and style it as desired. You can also choose to apply your closure wig with adhesive. Use the steps above.

Washing wig:

Detangle hair before you wash it with a wide tooth comb.
Hold your wig with one hand and dampen it with lukewarm water.
Wash with a generous amount of shampoo and conditioner.
Towel dry the wig and leave it to air dry or blow dry.

Cleaning the Lace on the Wig:

Run your lace under lukewarm water to soften the adhesive.
Apply shampoo onto a toothbrush and scrub the lace in a circular motion, then rinse off.
